Today we will explore Kashmir on a drive from Srinagar to Kargil. This drive will cover approximately 220 kilometres for 4-5 hours. On the way, we will witness the picturesque landscapes of Sonamarg which is also known as ‘Meadow of Gold’. Drive will be continued to Zoji La Pass and Dras, which is a beautiful town in Kargil.

Post breakfast, we will continue our drive to Leh. Drive to Leh from Kargil is approximately 210 kilometres and takes around 4-5 hours. Enroute we will visit Maitreya Buddha, Lamayuru, Likir and Alchi monastery. It will be followed by Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill & Hall of Fame. You will also get a chance to witness the confluence of Zanskar River and Indus River.

In the morning, we depart for Nubra Valley, which is in the Northeast direction, and in the middle, we take the World’s highest motor-able road, the Khardung La Pass. We would be driving for close to 3 hours to cover a distance of 150 Kms. There will be a very enjoyable Camel Ride organized for you, which will be at your own expense if you take it. Next in line is a trip to the most important village of Nubra Valley, that is the Diskit Village, in which the Diskit Monastery, built by Lama Sherab Zangpo, is claimed to be the most notable place to visit in the village.

Our morning will start with nutritious breakfast, which will be followed by a journey through Khardung La Pass to return to Leh. In Leh, we would visit Jokhang, a small Gompa established in 957 by Buddhist Association of Ladakh. The evening is at leisure so that you can roam Leh bazaar or nearby place at your own expense. You may interact with the amicable local people to know more about their culture.

On this morning, we will travel for approximately 5 hrs from Leh to Pangong Lake. This lake is in South-West direction from Leh and is situated in the Indo-China region and the distance covered in this journey will be close to 145 kms. The route is set via Chang-La Pass, which is the third highest motor-able pass. We will also visit Shey Palace and monastery wherein we will witness the largest Buddha statue, which is of great spiritual value. When we reach the Lake, we will experience unimaginable view of Changchenmo Mountain range’s reflection in the very pure and clean lake water. The scenery makes the jaw drop. We will visit the popular ‘3 Idiots’ point, which can make quite nostalgic. The day will end with a delicious dinner under open sky.

The day will begin with a journey back toLeh. On return journey, we will soak our soul into the enticing, mesmerizing and scenic views. We will then visit Thiksey monastery, which is 19 km from Leh. The unique prospect of this Gompa is its unthinkably good architectural structure. We will then visit banks of Indus River to catch the glimpses of beautiful landscape. You can relax for the day in a hotel in Leh.

After having breakfast at hotel, we will depart from Leh to Jispa. On this drive, you may soothe your eyes with scenic landscapes at Upshi, Tanglang La, Moore Plains, Sarchu and Baralacha La. Leh to Jispa is the beloved driving route as it offers snow covered vistas & the adventurous roads.

Witnessing one of the most beautiful landscapes, Manali is the next stop. The sudden transition of deserted barren mountains to green hills carpeted with pine forests and fruit orchards is eye stunning. As this drive is exhausting, once you check-in rest of the hours will be kept free for you to rest.

Have a delicious breakfast at Manali and then proceed for local sightseeing covering Hadimba Temple, Vashisht & Solang Valley. Catch the VOLVO to Delhi in the evening.
