The feat of architecture, world’s highest motor-able passes, serene lakes, Buddhist and Tibetan culture, jaw-dropping landscapes, old monasteries dating back to the rich history and stunning spots make it a dreamland for everyone.

Certainly, the destination is breath taking, however, the journey itself is no less than the destination offering spectacular vistas. Commencing our journey from Leh, we will explore the picturesque Nubra Valley driving through world’s highest motor-able pass Khardung La Pass, the tranquil Pangong Lake, Kargil, Rangdum and Alchi. On this journey, we will cover Shey Gompa, Thiksey Gompa, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Hall of Fame, Lamayuru Monastery, Nun Kun Peak, Karsha Monastery, Phugtal Monastery and more.

Day 1 – , .

On your arrival at Leh, you will be assisted at Leh airport and will be transferred to the hotel. The day is kept at leisure so that you can acclimatize to the weather and change in altitude. In the evening, you may hit the allies of Leh Bazaar such as Moti Bazaar where you can collect some souvenirs like semi-precious jewellery. You may also opt to visit Shanti Stupa, which is a Japanese religious place and is also known as Japanese Peace Pagoda. It is located on hilltop offering the majestic views.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Leh.

Day 2 – , .

This day is set for the expedition to Nubra Valley through world’s highest motor able pass Khardung La Pass. It will be a scenic and thrilling drive of 3 hours covering 150 kilometres distance. On arrival at Nubra Valley, you may opt to enjoy a camel ride on high altitude with sand dunes at your own expenses. The next hit will be the most wonderful village of Nubra Valley, i.e., Diskit Village. Diskit Monastery is the major attraction of this village, which was built by Lama Sherab Zangpo.

At the end of the day, you will enjoy camping at Hunder village.

Day 3 – , .

After having a nutritious breakfast at Nubra Valley, we will proceed to Leh driving through Khardung La Pass. In Leh, we will pay visit to Jokhang, a small monastery built by Buddhist Association of Ladakh dating back to 957. Evening is set at leisure so that you hit the local markets and streets at your own. It is also a chance to interact with friendly local people to know their culture and traditions closely.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Leh.

Day 4 – , .

Pangong Lake is located in South-West direction from Leh. It is a journey of 5 hours covering a distance of 145 kilometres. It is strategically located in Indo-China region. En-route, we will visit Shey Palace marking the presence of the largest Buddha statue.

The reflection of Changchenmo Mountain Range in the clear and placid Pangong Lake offers an explicit view. Dinner will be served to you under open sky.

The overnight stay will be in the tents at Pangong Lake.

Day 5 – , .

This day is set for the return journey to Leh. En-route, we will visit Thiksey Monastery which is 19 kilometres distant from Leh. Undoubtedly, this monastery is an architectural inspiration. You will then explore the banks of Indus River.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Leh.

Day 6 – , .

Early morning, we will proceed to Kargil. It is approximately of 5 hours drive clocking a distance of 210 kilometres. En-route we will visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Hall of Fame and Old Lamayuru Monastery.

Day 7 – , .

After breakfast, we will drive towards Rangdum while visiting Drass War Memorial en-route. The memorial houses war photos, stories of soldiers depicting their bravery in Kargil war. This place will awaken the patriotic in you. Indian army maintains it. The Nun Kun Mountain is reposed of Himalayan peaks- Nun at an altitude of 7,135 meters and Kun at an altitude of 7, 077 meters. Located on Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir, Nun is the highest peak of Himalayan range.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel in Rangdum.

Day 8 – , .

Post breakfast at Rangdum proceed to Padum. Padum is the sub divisional capital of Zanskar sub division of kargil district in Jammu & Kashmir. The source of Zanskar River is Drang Drung glacier of Pensi La.

Places to visit in Padum are Karsha Monastery and Phugtal Monastery.

Dinner & overnight stay will be at a hotel in Padum.

Day 9 – , .

This day is set for the drive to Kargil, which is a drive of approximately 5 hours covering distance of over 250 kilometres. Upon arrival at Kargil, take some rest. Evening is at leisure.

Day 10 – , .

Drive to Leh after having breakfast at Kargil. You will hit the distance of around 220 kilometres in approximately 4- 5 hours. Upon arrival at Leh, relax for the day at the hotel.

Day 11 – , .

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh airport to board your flight for Delhi.
